Cleaning a shower door can ensure your entire bathroom shines. Unfortunately, this can be a time-consuming project when you have to deal with water stains, soap scum, and all sorts of other messes.
However, there is good news. We have some cleaning tips that will help you quickly clean your shower door so that it practically sparkles.
First, you need a few supplies:
- Rubber gloves
- Spray bottle
- Old toothbrush
- Squeegee
- Microfiber cloths
- Baking soda
- White vinegar
- Gentle bathroom cleaner
Soap scum can be easily removed with a vinegar solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Mix it in a spray bottle, spray on the glass and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then use a microfiber cloth to wipe away the soap and mineral deposits.
For harder-to-clean soap scum and other grime, make a baking soda paste with baking soda and water. Let it sit on the areas and then use an old toothbrush or cloth to scrub it away.
While cleaning, take care of all the issues including the frame, hardware and shower head. Use the bathroom cleaner for most things. When you can’t get it clean, that’s what you have the other two mixes for.
Once you get your shower looking good, it’s also a good idea to get into the habit of preventing problems. Dispose of excess water after each shower. You can also occasionally spray the shower with the vinegar mixture in the spray bottle.
